Ya Ikhwan At-Tayyibeen

Ya Ikhwan At-Tayyibeen
(Oh Tayybah Brothers)

Rami Mahmoud Elsawah

Men and women volunteering
Sweat and tears run a dripping
When the seminars come a nearing

The Tayybah crew

They really try hard…
Fighting and haggling like Canal St markets
No money in hand but with a will and determination
They always pull through with a spot for us to park-it.

So when the seminar comes to town…

When the mood is turning just right…

And the scholars and students begin flocking tonight…

HOLD ON!

Let’s all do a quick intention check!

Will the spotlight shine too brightly in our face?
Will our step be humble and calm at pace?

Will the urge of asking witty questions
Keep our hands raised but our pens unlifted?

Will we smile at having exclusivity
Meeting the ustaadh in backstage privacy?

We need the sincerity and Ikhlaas and reminders…
For who amongst us is such of the pious?

Let’s remind each other
That the fruit of knowledge is Khushoo’

Let us respect the knowledge
And bring with us our finest clothes.

Let’s make a vow
To leave with knowledge that affects.

Let us check ghetto fabulous at the door
And wear the manners and lifestyles of the scholars

Let’s give Abu Ammar the class he won’t forget…

Let’s put the name of Tayybah over the rest!
