I keep hearing stories of the men of aqeedah,
The ones with manners, who even give naseehah,
They are found rarely in this world, scholars of high caliber,
They know so much but are humble, we need to heed this parable
Why do people criticize so much those who have the right belief,
They say “look at those high pants, big beards but a sharp mouth with the teeth”
I wonder if we will ever actually follow the people whose history we claim,
Not only in belief but in how we treat others, in our most inner strains,
The heart is a heavy thing, that’s why the pious ones treat it well,
Other people talk more theory while sins make their hearts swell,

Mercy, justice and a balance of patience in the moving organ,
Blood pumping hard to your brain due to modesty being unbroken,
Having imaan in Allah reflects all these qualities,
For one man to have taqwaa and as-sidq, it’s a novelty.

As Shaikh said, manners are a reflection of your belief,
They make you stand up at night while other people sleep,
They widen your outlook in life, you have an advantage over others,
But we will lose this advantage if we can’t properly treat our mothers,

They say this class was a paradigm, a proper way of thinking,
It removed us from what culture taught us along with our minds shrinking,
From the qualities of disbelief, ungratefulness and improper rations,
May Allah raise us in akhlaaq and widen our imaan station….

…Do Onto Others as U want Done 2 You …
Shaykh Muhammad Faqih melted us like Fondue
ReMolding TAYYBAHs Values, Engraving the Sunnah in our Virtues
“75% of Knowledge is Manners” & now Its Ready 2 Shine Thru

¿ Money, Power, Respect ?! Yes, but only without Regret
Earn this Rizq… Thru the Islamic Code Ethics
Killin ppl with Kindness, Freezin Vice with ICE
¿Why does Modesty Pay the Price?
Livin shouldnt be at the Sacrifice..
of Hayaa, Truthfulness & Piety
Have Sabr, Patience is due in times of Calamity
Tawakul replacin feelings of anxiety
For the Prosperity of the Society, Gotta have Trust in tha AlMighty!

¿Yo What happened to those with Humility?
Who walk with Humbleness & Sincerity
A Helpin Hand causing Tranquility
Caring for Parents, the owed Responsibility~
Showing Kindness & Mercy, Sidq flossin Stability
Even your enemies dont question your Credibility!

¿Yo Wheres those who show Gratitude ?
In the Middle of the Night, Down in Sujood
Like Abu Bakr, Umar, Abdullah ibn Mas’ood
Goal in Life is 2 Perfect their Servitude
Intentions Renewed, Manners Debuted, Regulatin OneSelf
Before the Self is up 4 Review

¿Yo you heard of those Stay Away from Lies ?
Advisin others to guard that which Allah provides
Envy, Jealousy, a Seed allowing Injustice to Rise
Hearts demise where Hasad arise
Lack of Love? Mend the Hearts b4 Oppression gets tied
Controlling their Temper, Eyes red like Cardinal Cries
Fear Arrogance! an atoms weight of Kibr prevents reaching tha Prize
Words from the Wise: Know the Acts the Angels Despise

Determination, Endurance, Integrity is what we Recommend !
Compassion to Kith & Kin alongside your fellowmen
Be Amonst those giving Da’wah till the very End
Relaying even a verse, in hope someone will Comprehend
Increasing in Righteousness depends on who you befriend
So Befriend the Best Mannered….
… Maybe from that Akhuwa, Jennah will transcend

My first stop on the train of purity
An examination of the consensus to determine my ability
Once I have passed, I begin my journey
Using the spiritual sincerity of the one and only
I can not be caught, I can only flow naturally
I stream between the cracks of the hand
I rejoice, for I am part of a supreme plan
You see my job is to relieve man,
Relieve him of his imperfection
As long as he does his prayers he earns divine protection
And since I am half of his prayer, he must first complete my section
Only then, will he receive the merciful affection
I end my journey where man begins
I drip and drop, soaking away his sins
Indeed I have brought him closer to his faith
Even more so, I bring his footsteps closer to the glorious gates
Alas, my job is complete; only until much later
As for now, I leave man to be with his creator.

One early morning at 3
I stood praying silently

Concentration in reciting the Qur’an’s word
Bowing and prostrating to my Lord

In my heart I feel so content
Tranquility I feel upon me sent

When family did come to know
They ridiculed me for stooping low

For a moment I did feel shame
Then swiftly realised I am not at blame

For, Alhumdulillah, I have been gifted
To partake in the night prayer so rewarded

And family catching me in the ‘act’
Upon them it may positively impact

For them to rethink their connection with the Almighty
And turn to Allah with sincerity and humility

Ya Allah, I thank you for this chance
For this virtue to allow my Imaan and a’mal to enhance.

This poem was inspired when I read of someone who had been ‘found out’ by their parents to stand in prayer at night and was encouraged NOT to do so by them. May Allah guide us all to do what is good and stop ourselves from stopping (directly or indirectly) others in doing good, ameen.

Salaat is a basic pillar of Islam
It is mentioned again and again in the Qur’an
The importance of prayer is in seven hundred places
But in the mosque,do you see many young faces?

Praying in the mosque gives 27 times the reward
Pray with the intention that you’re pleasing your Lord
When you walk to the mosque, just remember within
You gain a reward and you’re losing a sin

For every step towards your destination
This is a blessing from Allah (swt) to his creation
The Qur’an has foretold, that before you are dead
‘Say your prayers before upon you prayers are said’

Our Prophet (saws) said about those who miss prayer
Fifteen punishments they’ll have to bear
Six in this life, three on passing away
Three in the grave and three on judgement day

For missing Fajr at the start of the day
The glow of the face is taken away
The punishment for missing the salaat of Dhuhr
There will be no blessing from your income no more

For missing Asr, the middle prayer of the day
The strength of the body is taken away
By missing maghrib, remember one thing
You will not be benefited by your offspring

For missing Ishaa at the end of the day
The peace of your sleep will be taken away
While seeing elders pray at the mosque door
Remember as a young person, your reward is 70 times more

Read salaat punctually, read it with care
On judgement day, we will be asked about prayer
It’s the first question, so take this advice
Salaat is the key to paradise

Spread this word to muslim sisters and brothers
Salaat will separate muslims from others
Salaat is a blessing which Allah (swt) gave
It will intercede for us and protect us in the grave

When it comes eventually, to the day of rising
The believers body washed by wudu will be shining
For the believers who are regular in offering salaat
It becomes a light of guidance on the Siraat

Don’t miss the prayer asr at any cost
It will be like your family and wealth is lost
The ayat-ul-kursi after fard, should be read
It will lead you to paradise (insha’Allah) after you’re dead

Not reading salaat will lead you to Hell
Surrounded by serpants in a deep well
Read your salaat whilst still in your prime
And read the Sunnahs in your spare time

You’ll get ten rewards, the Lord (insha’Allah) will accept your pleas
And you’ll be closer to Allah (swt) by ten more degrees
So embrace Islam with all your heart
And remember the key is reading salaat.

By Anonymous

I bear witness there is not God but Allah
And that Muhammad is his messenger
The Truth excels
Lies Degenerate
Study some
Truth prevails
Slander disintegrates
So sit it straight in your head
Right from wrong, wrong from right
Humbling ourselves just to be brought into light
Stumble and fell but Allah is oft forgiving. Most Merciful
So I strive not to do the same wrongs I used to do
Or odd on or even display an arena where it would seem as if
Displeasing GOD is good
GOD gives provisions and He straightens for whomsoever He wills
If He increases you’ll get your fill as He deems it
It doesn’t take a genius to know
All praises belong to Allah
He is rich, free from all needs
But why shouldn’t I be obedient and kneel on my knees
Prostrate to my Lord praying that He will be pleased
Shouldn’t I be a thankful slave?
Gave me life, will cause me to die, then raise me up from the grave
Showed me signs, strengthened me
All praises belongs only to Allah
Ashadu an la ilaha illa Allah. Ashadu ana Muhammadan RasullAllah.

Your laugh gives us hope for there is no despair in a Lord who Laughs when pleased

Our emaan is increased by your glory and majestic names, through them our minds are eased

Ya Mu2min there is no fear when we believe in you and your Eeman

How can there be when the world is safe and secured by the lord of man

We believe in you and what you have sent down, glory be to thee

What a beautiful creation have you fashioned what splendor for us to see

What a feeling which enshrouds our selves and ripens our hearts

What beauty it is to be of the bowers to the creator of all the parts

Allah you are our lord and our only source of peace

Allah you are the only one we seek, your love will never cease

You are the rich and we are the poor without you there is no meaning of hapiness

Your glory we seek , your pleasure we crave, we yearn your face with eagerness

We turn to you in earnest repentance and we ask for your continuous forgiveness

Make the path of guidance and serenity easy upon us, we single you and we attach no likeness

We ask you by your holiness and your elevated attributes accept our dua and don’t turn us away

You are indeed close when the caller calls for you, Ya Allah we are calling for you, to you we pray

Make our affairs for you and you alone,

Our life and our death for you and you alone

Make our tears immerse the earth quenching the living which lives for you

Make the creation testify for our sole love for you

You are the one who heals the wounds of despair

Ya Allah we ask your help in our trialed affair

Guide us through the tunnel of solemn isolation

Grant us the companions of good and beautiful salutation

And send the blessings on the messenger who glorified your name

Muhammad ibn Abdullah, the prophet whom we firmly claim

Farooq and Saimah Yousuf

Before there was no purpose or direction in life,
Sleepless nights, tired days, headaches were rife.

Before there were no aims, hopes and dreams,
My mind felt as if it were ripping at the seams.

Before there was confusion and loss of hope,
Day and night, I found it hard to cope.

Before there was anxiety and pain,
I had the sense that I had nothing more to gain.

Before there was no guidance which I could turn to,
I look back now at how little I knew.

Before there was no point in caring or trying,
Every time the truth would hurt me, I would resort to lying.

Then I saw a dark end ahead,
I knew exactly where this path led.

Then I woke up out of my eternal slumber,
Never to go back again to that life of blunder.

Then I realized that I needed to take control of myself,
And one day I picked up a book off of my dusty shelf.

Then after reading and flipping through the pages,
I found out my life is proceeding in stages.

Now through this book I found my life’s goal,
I had now become whole.

Now I feel liberated and free,
Breaking the shackles of society.

Now I know that none can hold me back,
Because I know of nothing that I lack.

Now I know this life is not the final destination,
I hope to be united with the rest of the submitting nation.

Now, daily I strive to obey the Creator,
For surely it will pay off sooner or later.

Now I work hard to attain the highest level in the Garden,
Hoping and yearning for God’s Pardon.

Those That are Truly Pious

Naimah Abraham

The truly pious sisters never do anything to ever jeopardize their haya.
The truly pious sisters have a deep attachment to salah

They have noor dripping from their faces
They are never to be found in all the wrong places

The truly pious sisters are always glowing
They are not the ones that have all their limbs showing

Rather they are those that wear abayas loose and flowing
And when they are tested by Allah they increase their ibadah and keep going

They are mindful of their speech and never engage in idle talk
And they are not amongst those that wish to be noticed when they walk

They are those that have ilm and are constantly seeking
They have the best adab, ahklaq, and manner of speaking

Just like the truly pious sisters there are only a few truly pious brothers
And the truly pious brothers take care of their sisters and mothers

The truly pious brothers have exemplary ahklaq
Pants rolled above the ankle and carrying a miswak

The truly pious brother is cautious about violating others rights
And you can hear his attachment to the Quran with every Surah he recites

His forehead has the mark that only one can get from praying tahajjud every night
Noor eminates from him, and every strand of his beard twinkles like a light

And if the time comes to fight, then he will not take flight
He will enter the battlefield strong like a knight

The truly pious brother makes dua to Allah for his enemies to be guided
And doesn’t incite hatred towards other Muslims, lest we become more divided

The truly pious brother’s eyes are always looking toward the ground
Lowering the gaze because non-mahram women are around

He never insults or curses anyone, and never wastes time
He’s always just with others and keeps his nafs in line

The truly pious brother is always trying to learn more in the deen
Traveling for the sake of ilm is a regular routine

The truly pious brother is always making istigfar for the sins that he may or may not have done.
And he is not the lazy, depressed or pessimistic one

The truly pious brother loves for his brother what he loves for himself
He is never satisfied with his condition, so he is always improving himself

And you will find that the truly pious sisters have sabr and complete tawakkul in Allah
And the truly pious brother has devoted himself to seeking the pleasure of Allah

And you will find that those that are truly pious are like the scent of perfume in the air
To the average Muslim, they just don’t compare

They are like precious jewels that are extremely rare
Remaining in their pure form because they are unfit to wear

So if you want to marry from amongst those that are truly pious, then be worthy and not obscene
And don’t waste your time looking for them in places that they would never dare to be seen

You would never go to a swamp to discover a pearl
Unless instead of a pious woman you want a cover girl

And if you think that you can go to a garbage dump in search of diamonds
Then that is because you’re looking for Cubic Zirconia, and not those that are truly pious
